Why I Became a Will Writer
Who would choose to be a will writer?
That’s the question I asked myself a few years ago – and it still makes me smile.
It’s fair to say that this wasn’t something discussed with my careers advisor at school, and it certainly wasn’t at the top of my list when I began my working life. But, like many things, life has a way of guiding us where we’re meant to be.
Through my career, I’ve always worked in client-facing roles – often in settings where people are dealing with both social and emotional challenges. That experience taught me the value of empathy, clear communication, and staying calm under pressure. All of which brought me here – to estate planning.

At Home on Dartmoor With My Wife and Business Partner
During lockdown, I met my now-wife Linda and in 2023, we got married. We’re co-directors of the business and live together on a farm near Dartmoor. It’s heaven.
We’re so grateful for the peace, the space, and the life we’ve built together. Being happy in yourself is important and I try to share that positivity with everyone I work with.
