When I started Simon Hall Will Writing Services back in 2019, it was just little old me, Simon Hall, with no idea that the business would grow beyond a one-person operation. Fast forward to today, and we’ve come a long way, overcoming challenges, including a global pandemic and welcoming a fantastic team that’s now the backbone of our success.

Reflecting on our journey, I’m reminded of the humble beginnings and the unexpected paths that led us here. One of those significant moments was meeting Linda, who at the time was running her own dog grooming business in Torbay. Our worlds collided just a week before COVID-19 changed everything. Despite the uncertainty, we worked hard to stay connected and build our lives together. By 2022, Linda had joined the business full-time, we got married in 2023 and it became clear that we couldn’t achieve our goals for the business alone.

Thanks to the amazing support Simon Hall Will Writing Services has received from the public over the past five years we have been able to develop steadily. In 2022, we realised the importance of expanding our team and bringing in experts to help us grow with a bold vision to appoint 10 new partners in coming years. We recently welcomed our first Ppartner Wendy Mason Tucker, who was referred to us through a mutual networking colleague.  Wendy has been a fantastic addition to the company and we are thrilled that she has completed her first Estate.

We are also pleased to have Patrick Tigwell from Westcotts as our accountant, Jackie as our bookkeeper and Sharon Vickery is our Virtual Assistant.  We also appreciate the businesses that have come alongside us as experts in their field. These include: Andi Davies from Fomo Content who does our social media, Paul Edworthy from Edworthy Media who takes care of our SEO and website and Al Gibson from Countdown Creative who assists with our newsletters and blogs. These are all great people who simply get things done.

All these individuals have been crucial in helping us expand and maintain our business’s integrity. As I think about this great team, I’m reminded that the most important people are those who are with you consistently. Linda and I are grateful to each team member that has joined us on this journey, come rain or shine. Their hard work, dedication and positive attitudes have been vital to our success. So, I raise a toast to the amazing clients who have supported us and to our team, to our continued success and to many more celebrations – hopefully, with better weather next time!
